In 2023, 6.3 thousand mass events were organised, of which 2.9 thousand artistic and entertainment events. The events gathered a total of 26.9 million participants, of which 10.3 million participants of artistic and entertainment events.

Consumer prices in April 2024, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, increased by 2,4% (with an increase of prices of services – by 6,2% and goods – by 1,1%).

According to the flash estimate, gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms seasonally unadjusted was higher by 1.9% in the 1st quarter of 2024 year-to-year against 0.4% decrease in the corresponding period of 2023.

Foreign trade turnover in January - March 2024 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 376.8 bn, while in imports - PLN 361.7 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 15.1 bn, while in the same period of 2023 year amounted to PLN 15.2 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year exports decreased by 12.4%, and imports by 12.8%.

In the country there were 2 138 stationary social welfare facilities, which had 132.6 thousand places in total. 121.9 thousand residents stayed in stationary social welfare facilities, including 60.5 thousand women.

In the first quarter of 2024, there were 92 031 registrations of enterprises recorded i.e. 4.4% less than in the corresponding period of previous year and 100 enterprises declared bankruptcy i.e. 18.0% less than in the first quarter of 2023.

In 2023, there were 974 museums and museum branches, visited by 42.3 million people. Museums presented 2.7 thousand permanent exhibitions and organised 4.6 thousand temporary exhibitions in Poland.

As at the end of April 2024 the REGON register included 5 202.4 thous. of national economy entities. The number of newly registered entities in April amounted to 34.0 thous., i.e. by 3.8% more than a month before.
